I am Dr. Burnazyan, Head of Endocrine Laboratories of the Armenian Research Center of Maternal and Child Health protection, WHO (World Health Organization) Collaborating Center on Human Reproduction and Center of Medical Genetics of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

In 1983-1984 I was the recipient of a Scientific Training Fellowship from the Special Programme of Research in Human Reproduction of WHO and received training at the WHO Collaborating Centre in London. During my period of training at this Center I was acquainted with the theory and practice of immunoassay, laboratory management and quality assurance, as well as principles of assay development and validation.

Since my return to Armenia I have remained in contact with London Collaborating Center, and from 1999 with Immunometrics (UK) Ltd. From 1983 until 1999 I was taking part successfully in External Quality Assessment Programme, organized by them and was using constantly the RIA and EIA hormonal kits of FSH, LH, Prolactin, Testosterone, Progesterone, Estradiol, Cortisol, T3, T4, TSH produced by Immunometrics. We are using these kits both for research and routine analysis in infertility patients, as well patients with endocrine pathology. In my opinion, the kits are of a very good quality, reproducibility and sensitivity, and are less expensive, than kits produced by other companies. This is why I'm using till now their kits and would like to use them in the future.
