At the Biomedical Research Department of PROFAMILIA, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, we have been using the Immunometrics (UK), Ltd. enzymeimmunoassay reagents for many years. With these reagents we have determined LH, FSH, Estradiol,Progesterone and Prolactin levels both in subjects participating in different clinical trials, as well as in subjects who attend our Infertility Clinic. With these diagnostic kits we have contributed to the understanding of the mechanism of action and effectiveness of new contraceptives, such as different types of contraceptive implants and rings, as well as for the diagnosis of anovulation, hyperprolactinemia, and other infertility problems.
